Lake...

We were invited out on the lake with some friends of ours this weekend and we had soooo much fun! Danny was at work, so it was just Bentley and I. It was Bentley's first time being on a boat. It was actually his first time at the lake. For those of you who know me, you know I am not a lake person. I love to be on the boat, but I'm out when it comes to the water. Well I want you all to know that I got in the lake and swam. If it hadn't been for Bentley I probably wouldn't have. Bentley loved being in the water. He kept wanting the boat to go faster and loved jumping the waves. We fished and caught one fish and then went and fed the carp. I have decided that I want a boat now. I could spend every day doing that. Since our big purchase this summer is our floors, we'll probably wait until next summer. Danny said he'd teach me how to drive it and everything so I could just take it out whenever I wanted. Danny works SOOOO often that he'd only be able to enjoy it on Sunday, but Bentley and I could enjoy it all the time! So that's what I have to look forward to!

Water Day...

We had a "water" day today at Bentley's school. It was tons of fun for the kiddos and the teachers! We had water balloons and water guns and we got to soak each other! The kids all loved it and the best part was that they ALL took a good nap afterwards!! Naptime is usually difficult and it was a breeze today. I wish I could show more pictures, but I don't want to upload pics of kids that aren't mine. I think we are going to try and do something like this every Friday or every other.

First Dentist appointment

Bentley had his first dentist appointment last week and it went much better than I had imagined. It is a fight for me to brush his teeth everyday so I just knew it was going to be crazy. He had expressed some anxiety on the way there and I reassured him that everything would be ok. I felt bad about doing this because to me the dentist is one of the worst places in the world. When we got therer we were amazed at the waiting area, it was huge and lavishly decorated with lots of games to play. He loved it! When we got back there the hygenist was super nice and did a great job making him feel comfortable. When she first turned the light on he said it was too bright so she gave him some sunglasses and the rest was smooth sailing. They said his teeth looked great and we go back in 6 months. Now if I could just find a place I loved for me...

Later that evening, Bentley received a call from his friend Gracie. This is Bentley talking on the hone to her. They were making each other laugh, it was really cute!

Easter

Easter post. We had a great Easter! We got up and opened Easter baskets, then we headed to breakfast with some friends. We came home and did an egg hunt then we went to my mom's house and ate lunch and did another egg hunt with my family. Lunch was delicious! Thank goodness for Richard's Meat Market, they have some of the greatest meat ever! Here are a few pictures.

Hey everyone, it's been awhile since I've posted a blog so I thought I would share a few pictures of Bentley and his new haircut. He was excited because he got a haircut like "Uncle Dennis". He got to call Dennis and tell him all about it. We haven't been up to much since my last post. We are enjoying the warm weather and hoping it stays that way. We have had a very relaxing Spring Break week. It's been nice having Bentley at home all week. I may consider cutting him back down to one day a week at Kids Day Out, especially since the weather is getting nice we'll be able to do all kinds of fun things. Bentley is ready for Easter. I took him to see some baby ducks, chicks and rabbits. His favorite were the ducks and he really wanted one, but I just couldn't see myself owning a duck. Had he been a little more interested in the rabbits we probably would have owned one of those. :) On another note, one fun thing that I've been doing is Supper Club. A few of us have been getting together once a month at each others houses and having dinner and fellowship. It has been fun reconnecting with some old friends and seeing how well everyone is doing. Danny's work has been having some big changes. Some for the better and some for the worse. His hours have been lengthened so he works from 8am- 8 or 9pm depending on the day. So we get even less time with him, but we're hoping that it all pays off in the end! That's about all that's been going on around here. Hopefully it won't take me as long to post next time!

WHY...

Sleepover...

A week ago today, Bentley had the pleasure of having his first sleepover. His friend Gracie got to spend the night because her parents were out of town. They had lots of fun! We ate pizza, painted pictures, took a bath, popped popcorn and watched Snow Buddies. Bentley is really into sleepovers right now, he's invited two other friends to spend the night in two weeks. We'll see how it goes...
